How I Approach Yoga Teaching
I’m teaching people to be in their bodies, to explore their form in movement. I’m taking a step back from “instructions” and “techniques” and inviting students to explore the shapes and movements of their bones, the ways muscles fire and relax, and the way our experience is shaped by our physicality. I care a LOT about how you move and experience your yoga practice, and I want you to have a great experience now, and for the rest of your life.
We explore movements to help shift your habitual movement patterns. We try exercises that challenge brain and body to adapt, get stronger and be flexible. We have fun with moving and with reflecting on that moving. And we acknowledge and hold our emotional experience as sacred, while learning to communicate honestly and peacefully.
